['The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), Vijayawada has invited online applications for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) in A.P. Economics & Statistical Subordinate Service through Brief Notification No. 20/2026, dated 15 September 2026. A total of 196 provisional vacancies have been notified; the number is subject to variation upon confirmation from the concerned department.', "Selected candidates will be appointed in the pay scale of Rs. 37,640 – Rs. 1,15,500. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's Degree with Statistics as one of the main subjects, or a Bachelor's Degree with Mathematics, Economics, Commerce or Computer Science as a main subject, provided Statistics was studied as a paper in one, two or all three years of the degree.", 'Selection is through a single-level examination only — no Screening Test will be conducted.
